Role: Acquisitions Specialist

 

GFI Partners is seeking a self-motivated individual to be the acquisitions and portfolio specialist at their newly opened South Carolina office.

South Carolina: Expanding significantly in the Southeast with continued growth in the Carolinas, this role is central to that expansion.  Reporting directly to the COO, this role will be involved in all day-to-day operations and decisions of the southeastern portfolio.  You’ll identify, prepare investment proposals for ownership, and close deals working with the transaction team and legal to ensure each transaction is smooth and successful. The ideal candidate is a talented acquisitions specialist who is persuasive, confident, and detail-oriented.

 

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all leads and executive direction in a timely manner to drive business forward
  • Build rapport with prospects, brokers, lenders and tenants to facilitate smooth closings as well as continued portfolio operations.
  • Manage and run closing checklists, both our in house due diligence protocols and lender checklists.
  • Assess comparables, property value, and condition through research, outreach, data, site walks, and market trends
  • Prepare letters of intent, real estate market research reports, partnership models, contracts, due diligence documents, and other business administration paperwork in advance of real estate transactions
  • Review and report on all due diligence materials.
  • Review and abstract all leases to ensure the operations and accounting teams transition the asset into the portfolio.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Sales, Business or a related field of study preferred
  • +4 years of experience as a real estate specialist in real estate acquisitions, land acquisition, or real estate sales is highly desired
  • Must be driven and passionate about real estate asset selling and goal-oriented
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with extremely strong phone skills; ability to set and close appointments over the phone 
  • Excel, Argus, and CoStar / Citrix experience.
