Role
  • This individual candidate will be responsible for the overall processing and planning of projects, approval of plans, and procurement of necessary permits for development and construction activity. In support of and cooperation with the President and key executives in the Acquisition and Development teams, this person will provide assistance with all of the company’s forward planning activities as needed for feasibility, due diligence, entitlement and final engineering efforts. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the processing of plans, applications or required paperwork for jurisdictional and/or agency approvals and permits,
  • Lead, manage, and direct consultants in design and development of site plans, architecture, civil improvements, final maps, landscape, utility plans, environmental mitigations and other necessary plans required for approvals and adhering to feasibility and entitlement schedules,
  • Submit plans to city and county agencies for approval and permit processing,
  • Develop and maintain entitlement schedule and budget,
  • Manage consultant contracts and approve invoices,
  • Responsible for maintaining project related schedules, including due diligence, entitlement and post entitlement,
  • Create efficiencies in workflow procedures and processes of forward planning,
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and various governmental agencies and departments,
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in civil engineering, architecture, urban planning or related field,
  • Entitlement knowledge required,
  • Experience in the real estate investment and development industry preferred,
    Familiarity with reading and understanding planning and civil engineering plans,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products,
  • Strong project management skills,
  • Ability to oversee numerous professional consultants efficiently and effectively,
  • Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal and Customer service skills.
  • Vaccinated for Covid 19.
  • Work from Office 5-days a week.
