Summary:

The Mulholland Drive Company is seeking a motivated, highly-skilled Real Estate Investment Analyst Intern to take a key role in sourcing and underwriting potential acquisition and development opportunities.

  • Internship: Unpaid

The Mulholland Drive Company is an opportunistic real estate investment and development firm based in Los Angeles with investments in a broad array of asset classes, sectors, and geographies across the United States. Taking a generalist approach to investing, the company has a diverse portfolio of both debt and equity investments in retail, industrial, and multifamily assets and is currently active in single tenant net lease retail, hospitality, multifamily housing, self-storage, and other commercial investment and development projects throughout the United States. The firm sources and manages all of its investments directly via its integrated investment platform and proprietary operating capabilities to yield long-term value and strong risk-adjusted returns for its institutional joint venture capital partners.

 

Responsibilities:

The Real Estate Investment Analyst Intern will receive significant deal acquisitions, underwriting, and execution responsibilities across a wide range of opportunities. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and underwriting new acquisition opportunities through diligent pursuit of target locations and properties across all major real estate asset classes and investment structures
  • Spearheading research to support new investment strategies
  • Preparing investment memoranda and financial analyses for presentation to the firm’s principals
  • Working/coordinating with various external parties on process management, diligence, structuring, and negotiations

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance/accounting, real estate, or equivalent
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest and passion for real estate
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Driven self-starter that does not need ongoing supervision
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, conceptual and creative thinking aptitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word), including word processing, spreadsheet management, presentation editing, and creating and editing PDFs as well as financial modeling experience a plus
