The Acquisitions & Development Intern Program provides hands-on, real life work experience for senior year undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students. It is a highly selective and rigorous full time, 40+ hours per week, program that offers the individual both breadth and depth in real estate acquisitions, real estate development, and construction.
Acquisitions & Development interns will have the opportunity to experience multiple facets of the development process. Acquisitions & Development duties will include, but are not limited to: zoning and market research, sourcing off market development deals, performing financial analysis, conducting due diligence, preparing investment offering memorandums, coordinating transaction documents, and pre-construction and entitlement work. Depending on the individual’s interests, he/she is provided with opportunities to supplement the core responsibilities of the program with additional construction related tasks and work. The program will teach the necessary long term and day to day skills needed to succeed in the real estate development industry.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree either in progress or recently completed in: Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other Business majors with relevant or related course work.
- Strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Track record of personal, educational, and professional success
- Computer proficiencies to include financial Microsoft Excel modeling, PowerPoint, and Word
