What we are looking for:

Fiera Real Estate Investments Limited is seeking a motivated Manager, Investor Reporting who is a self-starter and ready to apply knowledge of business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The Manager, Investor Reporting will be responsible for the key reporting cycles for external stakeholders such as presentation assembly/updates, client reports, research and analyzing data, and database management as well as have opportunities to participate in client-facing work and corporate initiatives. The Manager, Investor Reporting will work closely with the Senior Director, Investor Relations to grow the department, identify opportunities to enhance operations, and maintain a high level of attention detail on all deliverables that are issued internally and externally. The Manager, Investor Reporting will also assist the Investment Management team and will work closely with the Strategy, Planning and Analytics department. This role will work closely with and report to the Senior Director, Investor Relations. Candidates with a strong understanding of real estate investment management is preferred. This will be a valuable experience for any professional looking to advance skillsets in real estate investment management. It is also an opportunity to build a strong foundation and broaden capital raising/business development exposure/experience.

Your responsibilities:

The Manager, Investor Reporting will be responsible for the following:

  • PowerPoint presentations, responses to Requests for Proposals, and ongoing ad hoc reports and analyses requested by investors, their consultants, and corporate stakeholders (requests not limited to updates on portfolios, organizational and company-wide performance, investment initiatives, key fund statistics, fund educational materials, etc.).
  • Portfolio-level analyses for pooled funds and separate accounts, including property type and geographic diversification, base rent by tenant and industry, lease maturity schedules and leverage analysis.
  • Various analyses, reports, model improvements, client onboarding due diligence, database management required for pooled funds and separate accounts.
  • Oversee and review the general reporting and analytical work of the analyst pool.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director, Investor Relations in organizing a strategy around the stakeholder reporting, business development requirements, corporate initiatives, annual meetings, etc.
  • Be a communication bridge between the multitude of teams involved in reporting of the company on a quarterly/monthly basis; build and collect material required to complete each and every assessment.
  • Represent the organization by building strong relationships with partners, consultants, and clients, including opportunities to be personally client-facing, and externally focused on new business efforts.
  • Other investment management duties as required.

 

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • A strong understanding of financial markets and the relationship to alternatives investments (Real Estate). Previous exposure to building and assessing financial models, Argus Enterprise, strong fundamentals of Excel (and Microsoft Office Suite); ability to learn additional and advanced tools to manage workflow and make assessments around resource requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with preference in the areas of commerce, business administration, business technology, and or economics
  • Analytical, computer and oral and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/French) both in oral and written is an asset but not required. Ability to pose smart and provoking questions in the goal of enriching knowledge and building context of the entire business.
  • Ability to quickly decipher requests from clients and find the most appropriate course of action, as well as quickly and accurately check and validate a proposed solution. Acute ability to remain extremely vigilant to minute financial details and to spot errors in general writing, calculations, presentations/fund summaries. Proactively leverage on knowledge from previously completed projects, internal and external research, and other business development efforts.
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships across the organization; ability to exercise confidentiality.
  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adapt to new ideas and constant changes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Power BI, Salesforce, RFPIO, database management.
  • Dedicated attitude interested in growing expertise in the real estate industry and its complexities, commitment to the goal and a mindfulness of what it takes to get there.
