Job Summary

Residential and Commercial Property Manager

 

 

Principal Duties

 

 

Tenant Relations

·       Coordinate building wide tenant communication

·       Develop rental agreements

·       Research and manage tenant inquiries

·       Screen & select qualified tenants

·       Collects deposits and rents

·       Enforce terms of rental agreements

·       Resolve tenant complaints

·       Oversee & manage eviction proceedings if necessary

·       Maintain accurate tenant contact database

 

Facilities Management

·       Schedule maintenance and repairs

·       Negotiate one-off & annual contracts with vendors

·       Identify and research opportunities for cost savings across the portfolio

·       Regularly inspect property portfolio to ensure all are maintained and systems are in good working order

·       Oversee building staff & supers

·       Respond, coordinate & resolve emergency maintenance issues

·       Recommend upgrades/ building improvements as required

 

Financial Reporting

·       Coordinate with Finance & Accounting in maintaining accurate financial property records

·       In coordination with Finance & Accounting create monthly financial reports for property owner

 

Marketing

·       Work with marketing teams & brokers to fill vacancies with qualified tenants

·       coordinate & facilitate property showings for prospective tenants

 

Owner Relations

·       Attend & present at weekly meetings with Asset Manager & ownership team reporting on vacancies, tenants, physical condition of property, and financial performance

 

Knowledge & Skills Needed

·  Bachelor’s Degree

·  Strong interpersonal & business communication skills

·  High level of organization, problem solving and attention to detail

·  Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations

·  Competence with building management software (Yardi)

·  Knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting & reporting

·  Computer skills; Excel, Yardi
